Redesigned instep and Achilles accordion flex zones made from lightweight microfiber provide superior comfort, control, and support during demanding rides. The contoured advanced polymer core structure envelopes the upper boot, maintaining structural integrity while allowing controlled flex for dynamic movements. An anatomically profiled, high modulus polymer shin plate offers superior impact and abrasion resistance, featuring a Velcro® adjustable panel for a personalized fit and secure closure. The medial-facing biomechanical pivot system links the upper and lower parts of the boot, providing both flexibility and structural support, essential for aggressive riding and stability. Both inward-facing upper and lower panels are crafted from specifically formulated polymers with grip sculpture patterning, ensuring maximum contact with the bike and enhanced abrasion resistance. The rear gaiter made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) atop a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) calf protector adds extra protection and comfort. The innovative buckle closure system incorporates durable polymer and fiberglass buckle arms, along with high-impact aluminum bridge closures, delivering a lightweight yet robust fastening mechanism. This system features a quick-release and locking design with self-aligning capabilities for precise closure, improving riding performance and security. The exclusive dual compound sole seamlessly integrates with the multi-density footbase structure, offering durability, grip, and a firm feel during rides, and is fully replaceable. TPU heel patches connected with the shell and lateral/medial TPU parts deliver extra protection and support. The interior features soft poly-foam padding around the ankles and collar for shock absorption, complemented by a full textile lining for comfort. The replaceable anatomic EVA footbed enhances support and comfort, making the Tech 5 Boots suitable for aggressive off-road adventures and demanding environments.
