The Alpinestars SMX-1 v2 Riding Boots are engineered for high-performance motorcycle riding, combining advanced protection with comfort and durability. Crafted from lightweight, abrasion-resistant microfiber uppers, these boots feature strategically placed Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) protectors that provide excellent impact resistance without adding bulk. The rubber compound sole offers superior grip both on and off the bike, with a pattern designed to enhance traction and control in various riding conditions. Accordion flex zones are integrated into the design to support flexibility and maneuverability, ensuring the rider maintains confidence and control regardless of their riding position.
The ergonomic boot shaping is optimized for forefoot streamlining, accommodating a wide range of foot profiles for enhanced comfort during long rides. The evolved closure system includes an anatomically angled strap with a Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) puller for ease of use, reinforced with aramidic fiber wires for durability and lightweight performance. The front Velcro® closure ensures a quick, secure fit over the instep while allowing ample flex. The exclusive rubber sole features an integrated Transversal Protection Frame (TPF) to guard against transversal loads, providing additional safety. Flex zones around the instep and Achilles' areas are constructed from lightweight microfiber to improve durability and comfort, with thermowelded grooves controlling flexion and flexibility.
A reverse zip closure offers easy entry and removal, complemented by an external high-modulus TPU heel counter, lateral ankle, and shift pad for shock absorption and protection. The upper is designed from advanced microfiber for abrasion resistance and comfort. The heel counter supports ankle stability and supports the strap closure system for a precise fit and structural integrity, with a soft TPR insert ensuring freedom of ankle movement. The rear flex bellow includes a flex window that acts as an air intake to promote ventilation and airflow, keeping the rider comfortable during extended use.
Reinforced with double-density ankle protectors layered under the upper for impact resistance, the boots also feature an internal toe box protection for durability and improved feel. The removable, anatomically shaped foot-bed combines EVA foam and Lycra® for enhanced support and moisture-wicking comfort. An internal mesh lining helps regulate temperature and moisture, adding to the overall comfort. The integrated, replaceable bi-injected TPU forefoot slider features an easy-screw fixing system, allowing quick replacement when needed, ensuring the boots remain in top condition for continued performance.
