An extended polyurethane (PU) coated leather gaiter helps seal out water and dirt, with a rubber insert on the rear gaiter for added flexibility and comfort. The innovative Cosure system incorporates two polymer buckles with a ratchet closure featuring a self-aligning design, enabling quick, precise adjustments for a secure fit. A Drystar® membrane layer positioned between the upper and lining ensures proven waterproof and breathable performance, even in tough weather conditions. The boots also include a PU shift pad with a textured surface for enhanced grip, complemented by foam padding underneath to improve rider comfort during extended use. The wide entry aperture, combined with a Velcro® upper closure flap, allows for easy donning and calf fit adjustment to accommodate different leg sizes. The boots' outsole is made from Alpinestars' exclusive vulcanized rubber compound, optimized for both comfort and grip on various surfaces. Impact resistance is reinforced with a TPU shin plate and calf plate, while a biomechanical lateral flexi-blade system offers excellent front and rear mobility, supporting natural movement while protecting the ankle. The medial side features a TPU double density ankle protector for enhanced impact resistance, and soft foam surrounds the ankles and collar for additional shock absorption and comfort. Reinforced toe box and heel counter layers provide further durability, and the co-injected steel shank in the PP insole delivers stability and safety.
